PATRON UPDATE AND PRICE CHANGE + New Story (Patreon)

Hey everyone! I've been getting around to updating the Patreon, so I've got quite a bit of big news to announce before I post the NEW STORY involving Lara Croft and Wonder Woman. Wow! Worth reading to the end now, huh? Right? Right.

First of all, I am increasing my commission prices. It's unavoidable at this point I'm afraid, considering the sheer scale of growing costs in the UK combined with having two people to pay bills in the house instead of three. I really do want to make a living through my writing, but that does require I earn enough to live off it.

I don't want to raise prices too much too fast though, and obviously any commission that I have already planned out will use the previous price. I won't come back to anyone and demand more money after we already agreed on a price, this is just going forward from here.

The cost for a First Time Commission is now £15 per 1000 words.

The cost for any subsequent commissions is now £17.50 per 1000 words.

Now for the GOOD news. I want to offer more on my Patreon than just a way of getting in touch with me for commissions, without paywalling my work. As such, I have added two new tiers at $3 and $5.

At the $3 tier, you can vote in a monthly poll which will decide what story or character I write about outside of commissions. There are a hundred old stories lying in the back of my archives that haven't gotten any love for a while, and I want to give people the chance to decide if any should get some attention. I will also run character polls to see if there is anyone that you guys would like to see me write a story about.

At the $5 tier, you will be included in a random roulette to get a 2000 word story! Since a 2k word story would be £35 normally, that's a pretty hefty saving. My current intention is to run this once a month until enough people join the tier, then I can do more based on the number of commissioners to ensure everyone gets a fair chance.

The first poll will take place mid-September, so feel free to let me know whether you'd prefer a poll about what story to update or a poll based on which characters you'd want a story about.
