It's done...it's finally done...

First of all, here's the new chapter. It was meant to be a Halloween thing, but it ended up...not quite being so! Oh well!

So, why'd this take longer than planned? As I mentioned, I started out writing about 5000 words of a story before taking a long look at it and realising that what I had just wasn't any good. So I took away most of it and tried to take what worked into a new story...only to find that I just couldn't work with that either. This story, if you can believe, started off in an office building with a werewolf girl and vampire girl competing over a guy. Yeah, kind of went in a different direction in the end.

So I eventually settled on the trick-or-treat setting, and got a few thousand words in there before getting stuck on whether to have just one or two girls, and when to introduce them, and how to use them both in the story. Eventually after a few re-writes I got this one down, and found myself getting into the setting enough to crack out nearly 10k words.

I am not a writer who tends to plan out stuff before sitting down and writing. Let me tell you, sometimes that approach gives me my best stuff and it flows off the page from a well-spring of inspiration! Sometimes, just sometimes, it ends up making me rewrite a goddamn story, like, four times until finally settling on the one premise I think I can get something out of! WRITING! ITS GREAT! DON'T DO IT! DON'T BE LIKE ME!
