earlier in the comic its established that talita can understand sign plenty, but they have yet to modify the signs for her hands so she cant respond in sign

Is modification of a living organism to the extent of normal GMHs possible? In other words massive restructuring of an organism.

Modification to adult organisms is limited to lab grown organs and surgical replacements, and bone structure is very difficult to radically alter after maturity. There is a thriving biomod community pushing technology in that sector to get better and more versatile, but most radical body plan alterations can only be done to either eggs or embryos. It's not ideal, since eggs and embryos cannot "opt in" to those changes....

I wonder if Biomodders have ever attempted to make super soldiers. Even with what you mentioned you could grow a bulletproof exoskeleton and graft it onto someone. I wonder if they ever tried to create a GMH or biomod who could survive in the vacuum of space.
