Honestly. As a person who loves food. 40lbs of meat would not be enough meat for me as a centaur. 🤣🤣 I don't think I'd make it in space with all the weird food restrictions + expensive cost. 🥲 I love meat.

Does Talita have to supplement for nutrition loss or do "human" foods effect her as far as being difficult to digest.

I remember in the draft Talita's remark was more along the lines of not having eaten in several days due to centaurs' different metabolism, was this changed to make it more narratively concise or was there another reason, like having exercised the day before? Also really loving the expressions in this page.

Talita's too active to be eating that infrequently. A more sedentary centaur would probably eat less often, though, if food is abundant, maybe not... Also the original panel mostly seemed to confuse readers and it wasn't story relevant enough to be worth explaining in greater depth

She doesn't eat any food that evolved on Earth. Alien food is not interchangeable because they all have different molecular physiologies. Our food doesn't taste or smell like food to other aliens, and vice versa. Eating it would result in indigestion, and possibly an allergic reaction or poisoning.

She is Sunni! She isn't super strict about dietary rules but yea rabbits are halal (but not kosher, funnily enough)

I hope it's at least comes up again at some point. It was a fascinating bit of insight into centaur biology that I don't know if has been explained upon anywhere else. Always love learning more lore about them ^w^

Can Talita actually eat or digest mealworms or was Gillie’s offhand comment about them in reference to how little she can eat earth based foods? (Non-foods to aliens????)

Of course as soon as humanity creates advanced genetic modification they use it to make hybrid animals for food.
