The epitamy of smooth indeed.

I don't know why, but that one particular bug ferret that Gillie is conversing with is super cute.

Oh, Talita! From your drawings of future events, I'm so happy she becomes more confident with learning sign language! I need to relearn sign language, it's a very helpful skill to know

I see that the bug ferret Gillie is talking to is wearing some footwear, fashionable too while protecting their feets from the paved walkways of human/avian structures

Was there ever potential for a war between humanity and the bug-ferrets or between any other species due to cultural differences, such as Talita being biologically primed to commit infanticide.

Jay Eaton

I am not particularly interested in writing about war, so I don't spare it a lot of thought outside background historical context. More on that here: https://jayrockin.tumblr.com/post/673757057041793024/ Centaurs can experience feelings of aggression towards kids they didn't make while pregnant or nursing, but like most emotional states, it's not uncontrollable. Infanticide practices among centaurs are cultural. Generally speaking, their main difference from humans is that we tend to draw the line for when it's unacceptable to abort a potential child after the baby's popped out; and with centaurs that line is wider and blurrier because... they pop out 3cm long and there's six of them at a time. The line for centaur cultures tends to be drawn either after pupation, or after the child starts imitating words/babbling. Talita has never been pregnant and she was raised under human cultural mores, so "primed to commit infanticide" is perhaps a bit too dramatic.

Erika Spooner

It probably isn't dramatic, but what I'm pretty sure is dramatic would have been first contact between Humanity and Bug ferrets, how exactly did it go?

Yeah tbh any kind of bioessentialist thinking like that is pretty hm :/
