Likely there are, ferret families, tend to share professions if I remember correctly, meaning each family fulfills a single profession on board a ferret vessel, a family of engineers, a family of Xeno or domestic translators, a family for general business inquiries, cooking/food, etc. this means its gets crowded real fast on board a vessel. Communicating specific tasks involves speaking with the entire family rather than just one of them. This makes pinkie and brownie's family makeup extremely weird by bugferret standards as neither shares the same profession while being only a two-ferret family, Pinkie being an electrician, while Brownie is a cellular biotechnologist.

The little babies in the bag are so cute. I really like the sense of scale established here too, we have a pretty good idea of how big Talita is so it's clear just how big the ferrets are too.
