A class doodle of an avian in a snorkle!! Skimmer avians are passable swimmers, though they are not nearly as speedy and waterproof as diver avians. Getting in water is usually only done for entertainment and function; avians generally clean themselves with powder baths and oil preening. A "shower" with soap and stuff would only be done under medical circumstances or if something reeeally sticky is on them, like tree sap.

Bacause of their prominent crest with nostrils on the front, skimmer brights have a very convenient place to strap a snorkle.
