Much to my own surprise, I have not only grown enough patience to finally build myself a website, but I'm learning the HTML and CSS to make it all from scratch. It has been this month's compulsive creative project and it's far from complete, but I figured I ought to share it with you folks. I'll post about it on social media when it's less ramshackle.

I'm reaching a point with it where the site layout is decent and now I have to do the part I've been dreading more than the coding: typing out up-to-date information for all of the worldbuilding cruft on my tumblr blog. I have to say, I do prefer blog-format worldbuilding because I can just throw text and images out into the void with no obligation that they remain up-to-date with an evolving canon. But on the other hand, having a reference material that isn't tumblr's broken tag search system, is nice....

Edit: Oh also! One of the many perks of having a personal website. Buttons!

Looks pretty good! A real throwback to when everyone and everything had its own website. No joy like discovering a new one and send hours poking around on it.

Ah, the Joy of building a website, and the Pain of keeping it current. I finally updated the portfolio part of my professional site when it became required for a class and gave significant points towards the final...fortunately, you have visitors craving your content, and that is a very potent motivator!

I loved those sites so much as kid!! The goal of this project is partly to become one of those offbeat personal sites I admired ☺️

This is fantastic! Excited to see it grow!

I have an art website for the same reason. I've been toying with making one just for worldbuilding stuff so I can satisfy my need for cladistic organization of information.

2022-12-30 22:55:00 Looks great! >:D Found a typo, though: "get" instead of "got" in "Under-River-Through-the-Weeds is a server room that get tired of RC unit lag..." on the AI page.

Also, in the art directory, The Uncommon Twins links to Aftergarden.html right now.

LOVING the website! Inspiring me to make one of my own… FYI, the link for “Talita’s middle finger” on Talita’s character page instead links to “Talita bends the I-beam”

The “Shyam hand-flapping” link on Talita’s page also goes to Shyam’s walk cycles instead!
