In spacer culture, personal computer technology tends to be extremely modularized and customizable. A given phone (the smallest kind of PC) usually has at least a monitor, camera, battery, and CPU module, but the user might swap these out depending on their personal needs.

Since computers are so much smaller and more powerful in RttS than they are in our modern day, their shapes tend to be constrained more by ergonomics and monitor technology than anything else. No holograms in RttS, so if you want a screen you can put away, you're stuck with some more unconventional and flimsy monitors.

Are things like foldable keyboards common? or something see more with people doing a lot of long form writing? as I'm guessing a touch screen could cover most everyday use.

Jay Eaton

A keyboard is generally considered unecessary extra weight unless the user has a typing heavy job. Foldable portable ones do exist, usually for people looking for a laptop-like setup.
