There's a scene upcoming where these three have an Eid party, which is a great excuse for me to dress them up. Fabric folds are both my favorite thing and my mortal enemy.

I've already talked a fair amount about clothes in RttS, if you're curious: https://jayrockin.tumblr.com/post/167442650948/

tl;dr: Spacers tend to have less clothes that last longer, are more expensive, and are custom tailored. Autotailor machines are commonplace but actual living tailors are too-- Talita probably commissioned most of her clothes from a tailor since there's not a huge database of centaur clothes patterns for autotailors to work with.

I'm liking the use of clothing forms and conservation of like... fabric squares in these outfits. It's nice to see patterning, and I think the plain nature of Talita's outfit does show that it's a handmade item that seems to accomodate her well with the straps and buckles - with the exception of the shoulder string. Not sure how good centaurs are at knots and her different hand shape would make learning from a human difficult.

She can reach back there well enough to tie it, but from experience wearing dresses with a similar tie, you tend to tie it once and then just squeeze the closed loop on and off instead of bothering to tie it over and over again. Since it's her one formal outfit, Talita might have at some point altered the tie strings into a false bow with an easier fastening method....
