Sorry it’s a photo, I’ve been too busy farming and churning out comic pages to get to my scanner— in my very limited free time I have been hashing out the two-million-year-abandoned human permaculture project that my gnomes live on. For the gnomes, it’s the garden after the equatoral desert, for the reader, it’s the garden left after the disappearance of humanity. What’s mostly left at this point is the massive dense berms holding the tiered floodplains, the descendants of human crops and range animals, underground structures, and middens.

For less macro environment design I am now gonna lean harder into the garden kitch but high fantasy look. Expect statues, fountains, “lawn flamingos,” gazing balls, metal things on sticks that spin, and etc.
