About a year ago, I did a ton of experimentation with displacements on the Default Cube (TM) using displacement maps I generated with an awesome (free!) program called JSPlacement (https://windmillart.net/?p=jsplacement). Definitely check it out - I use it for quite a lot of my projects! I revisited the files this week and cleaned them up a bit to make available on here for you to download. When I originally made this file, I was still getting used to Blender, so I ended up doing a paint over in Photoshop to get the finished product (since I was a LOT more comfortable in Photoshop at that point than Blender). Now over a year later, I wanted to do these files justice and do all the texturing and post-production effects in Blender. To generate the landscapes, I used the built-in A.N.T. Landscape add-on from Blender and did some sculpting to get them to how I wanted. I used textures from Blenderkit that I then modified a bit to get to a look I was happy with. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any questions!
