Two John Carpenter classics: * The Fog (1980) - Slow burn but very atmospheric * In the Mouth of Madness (1994) - An excellent performance by Sam Neill in the lead

I'm not much of a horror fan but I can recommend A Quiet Place (2018), I really like the suspense and tension that the silence part bring. And as for Halloween film, I would recommend The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) and The Addams Family (1991)

Fitting for Horror Season, 1999 Japanese film "Audition" - "A widower takes an offer to screen girls at a special audition, arranged for him by a friend to find him a new wife. The one he fancies is not who she appears to be after all."

Really enjoy lovecraftian or cosmic horror so i will recommend two of those. The Void(2016) - pretty low budget movie but they did not let that stop them from some of the best lovecraft body horror and a sense of fleeting hope that gets worse as the movie goes on. The empty man(2020)- Pretty trippy movie with a neat story line that had me questioning alot after watching. another cosmic/lovecraft inspired film.
