"Great Screen Writing"

Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely Thursday Morning and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to Thursday and Friday.

No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first!

My 2 votes are: 1. The Apartment - shows really great screenwriting 2...Philadelphia Story - another terrific bit of writing

I really think James would love "The Sting."

Lots of good options this week - think you'll be happy with any of these!

Treasure and Miller's for me. Slightly terrified that Fallen might sweep a bunch of movies that are actually well written...

Oh, man. Barton Fink. Perfect for this category.

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

It would be kind of crazy if Barton Fink and Miller's Crossing both won. Wasn't Barton filmed as side project during the production of Miller's Crossing?

Philadelphia Story and Treasure of the Sierra Madre for me.

Also, you might consider Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid for this category in the future.

They got bogged down writing Miller's so they put it aside and wrote Barton Fink to break their writer's block. Would make a perfect coincidental double feature for writing.

If there's any cinematography aficionados out there, here's a great interview with Barry Sonnenfeld talking about shooting Miller's Crossing and how he started working with the Coens https://youtu.be/CXNb0MDJh4A
