As Chuck stated the law is sacred to him. He believes everything needs to be done "by the book" and cutting corners etc. is prohibited. So he essentially believes that Jimmy isn't a real lawyer, because in Chuck's mind Jimmy is unable to follow the rules that are required from a "real lawyer". He also doesn't see doing an online law degree as an actual law school, which also enhances his disdain towards Jimmy.

Rare

I think Mikes speech about good and bad comes in pretty hard when it comes to Marco and Chuck.

The Kevin Costner recall from his story in Breaking Bad is one of my favorite callbacks. He believed it & it worked lol.

Jimmy’s an excellent lawyer too so it’s all the more disgusting to him that he wasn’t born with the same smarts as Chuck, but still wound up in the same place. (I hate Chuck. Ooooh do I hate Chuck.)

Cookie

Nah Jimmy passed the bar like any other lawyer. His way of reaching that goal was simply not as prestigious as Chuck wants. Nothing about it was wrong or illegal in any way, he is a proper lawyer.

Huffster999

The big guy waiting for the job with Mike was briefly in El Camino. He brought prostitutes to the welding business where Jesse had his wild west style pistol duel.

Howard is a good guy and notice when you rewatch the scene how Howard looks at Chuck like you made me do this. It wasn't Howard who would throw away a multimillion-dollar case than work with Jimmy it was Chuck. Also go back and watch when Howard congratulated Jimmy when he passed the bar, he takes cake he wants to be part of the celebration he likes Jimmy he just yet again has to be the messenger for Chuck. He chooses to play villain to protect Chuck but now you know it was Chuck all along. Howard in the scene with Kim he eventually goes stop I can't do this anymore he reveals the truth. It makes the entire rewatch of season 1 different you look at it with a different perspective it's fantastic.

Anthony Lucido

It's a small detail but I love how Ernie's face lights up when he sees Jimmy.

Kaitlin

Nah taking cake after you’ve dropped news like that on someone is a douche bag move.

Fred Migliorini

How the scene when Jimmy confronts Chuck about Chuck blocking him from working at HHM didn’t result in two Emmys is beyond me ‼️

Hey, I was the one who made the comment: "Breaking Bad has the better STORY. Better Call Saul has the better STORYTELLING." Glad to see you saw it! I just believe the story of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman is the best story I've ever witnessed, but the way they tell the story of Saul Goodman and Mike Ehrmantraut in this series is NEXT LEVEL. Also, the big guy you thought you remembered, he's the strippers' bodyguard in El Camino.

Kaitlin

The staging of the mail room scene when Howard breaks the news to Jimmy is astounding. This show is so creative and effective in its storytelling.

Last man on earth would be a fun one for you to watch the actor who plays Marco is in it along with so many other great ones it’s a really smart funny poignant underrated show
