Well it finally got its moment in the sun. Well done for sticking with it James. I was a bit worried it had been overly hyped along the way but it was great to see you enjoy it. Such good acting in this movie. All the main characters are brilliant but everyone in smaller roles also excel. I really liked Sydney Pollack's character Marty. Thought he played that to perfection. RIP to one of the industry greats.

Nikki Sonrisa

that is one of my favorite movies of all time. still brings a tear to my eye to this day every single time I watch it. it's one of my inspirations for becoming a special educator.

I know! I usually don't like pre 80s movies. but this one is one of the best dramas of all time and there are almost no reactions to it.

it also has in my opinion the best, most striking movie poster i'ver ever seen. you'l know it when you see it.

So glad you got to watch this, this is a movie I try to spread the gospel on as much as possible. I love this movie, I think it's as close to perfect as a movie can get. This is the first movie Tony Gilroy directed and it's an absolutely incredible debut. His script is amazing and the actors eat it up. George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson, Tilda Swinton and Sydney Pollack are amazing. The opening monologue and scene is just a masterful hook. The assassination scene of Arthur is honestly one of the most brutal deaths I can remember from any movie. There's something deeply arresting about how clinical and matter of fact it is. Just a job for the two hitmen, nothing personal. I think my favorite scene is the ending credits. The long shot of George Clooney's face as he comes to terms with what he just did is masterful. Fun story I read somewhere is that Sydney Pollack fought hard to direct this movie, but Tony Gilroy wouldn't give it up. I'm sure Sydney Pollack would have done great things with it, he's a legend after all, but I can't imagine this movie any other way.

My favorite scenes are between Michael and Arthur, and then Michael confronting Karen: "DO I LOOK LIKE I'M NEGOTIATING??!!" This movie has such a great cast, script, score, cinematography, everything really. I mean, seriously. 💕

Speaking of Sydney Pollack, he does a great little turn with Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie. You know, just fyi...⚘

Finally! 😀

I think James's is the only Michael Clayton reaction on YouTube so far.
