Hell or Highwater and Yojimbo with Fallen next in line .. .after that, I tossed votes on Broadcast News, Sierra Madre, and Michael Clayton .... Taylor Sheridan, Kurosawa, and Tony Gilroy in the mix makes it difficult Coen brothers are always hit or miss with me

Recommendation for the next poll: The Collector, by Eric Rohmer. You said something positive about French cinema when you were watching Jackie Brown and I remembered this absolute classic. All movies by Rohmer are very intelligent and have very interesting and subtle writing with complex characters. I'm only recommending this specific one because it is my personal favorite.

I'm with you on that. Decent movie, but pretty forgettable. Two Step (2014) is much better if you're looking for something with a neo-Texas crime theme.
