James, Try adding “Beetlejuice (1988)” to the location poll. They are making a sequel to this Tim Burton classic with Michael Keaton reprising his roll. The location is in a specific town in Vermont and most iconic house that this takes place at. The town is also displayed in such a special way that no other film I know of has done before. Very classic and unique, also has some great comedy elements as well. A Must See for sure.

Another good rec for location (also a film I've really wanted to see your commentary for since around the beginning of channel) is Adventures in Babysitting. 80s films in Chicago, great locations that have an impact on the characters for sure. Also films shot in the cities back in the 80s are always a joy to see, catch a glimpse of how seedy/lively it was back then compared to now. There's also one location in this that one character is stuck in that very much reminds me of a part of Cambridge here in Massachusetts.

This is a great film. I enjoyed it when it came out, very compact and definitely underrated. Not sure which issues you had. Was it some plot holes maybe? You mentioned that if he just stepped out of the booth and someone else got shot that it would be obvious that it was a sniper situation... was it that? Stu was a douche sure, but he really didn't want anyone innocent to get hurt. If someone had to die just to reveal the fact of the sniper, that would be too high of a price to pay. Having Kelly get shot just to get Stu out of the situation? That exactly what the caller would have wanted, for someone else to pay so Stu's ass would get saved.

Yeah, no need to overthink. Phone Booth is a shitty movie.
