I would say that the entire Chuck arc and "Jimmy the lawyer" story were as good, if not better on average, than any of the seasons of Breaking Bad. However, in my opinion, it fell completely flat when trying to match the intensity of Breaking Bad's criminal side in the final season. I think I would rate the two of them by seasons like this: BB4 > BCS3 > BB2 > BCS5 > BCS2 > BB3 > BCS1 > BB1 > BB5A > BB5B > BCS6

Walt is probably one of the greatest and most evil fucking characters ever. Not because he tortures or whatever, nothing so crude. I mean he would if needed.. Walt is corrupting a persons character, just pointing their morals far enough in the wrong direction they only notice after shit's gone way south. He is like drugs. It's... disgusting

Aren't you going to watch El Camino before better call saul?

JUST IN CASE YOU DECIDE TO BINGE THE LAST EPISODES AT ONCE... Please react to the "Ozymandias TV promo" BEFORE you start Episode 14. It's only a minute long and it reveals absolutely nothing about the plot for the episode, but it definitely sets the tone going in. Here is the direct link so you don't have to search for it and possibly get spoiled on anything: youtube.com/watch?v=T3dpghfRBHE

Walt is a quintessential narcissist who views his family members as property (even if he somehow does love them, deep down) so I think his preciousness toward Hank has more to do with a sense of ownership over him more than anything else. The "My house! My bottle! My son!" scene from season 2 comes to mind.

5A I can understand but I'll never understand not liking 5B. It seems like you just don't like the beginnings and endings. Also curious why you rank Breaking Bad season 2 so high?

The rollercoaster has created the top and now we are in free fall. It’s a great show

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

Yeah, I always saw Walt through the lense of narcissism. I always think of his conversation with Jesse in season 4 where he tries to convince him that Gus' friendly new attitude is actually all about Walt.

BB2 has too many all-time great episodes (Grilled, Peekaboo, Better Call Saul, 4 Days Out, Phoenix). The writing was arguably at its peak, and the show remained grounded before transitioning to a more surreal and stylistic vibe from Season 3 to 4. I also preferred the setting of ragtag cooks in the RV, dealing with meth heads at the ground level. Additionally, it had the benefit of concluding the major Season 1 conflict (Tuco) and wrapping up the heartbreaking arc of Jesse and Jane. Similarly, Season 4 built upon the momentum from the previous seasons. Season 3 had some of the highest highs with episodes like Sunset, One Minute, and the Full Measure/Half Measure pairings. However, it also had some of the lowest lows, with obvious filler episodes like Fly, due to budget problems. I just think that, with such a hard stop at the end of Season 4, the show didn't had much of a plan, only some loose ends to build on. And yes, we've already discussed some of the aspects of why I didn't enjoy the direction it took. I can ellaborate more on 5B later, if im not too annoing about it, lol. It is still very much in the spoiler territory.

Tread lightly is one of those chill inducing moments in the show Dean Norris’s acting btw in that scene is amazing he looks horrified, scared, betrayed, hurt, sad, and angry you see all emotions cross him when he doesn’t recognize walt anymore.

Funny you mentioned there will be blood, I think walt and Daniel plainview have a lot of similarities. Both were about the "empire business" and ultimately became villains. Both threw away their families in the pursuit of power
