We are finally here...the last Season of Breaking Bad before we hop into Better Caul Saul. I'm excited to see how the show runners will end this series..lots have been solved, but many more questions are left to be answered. Hyped to jump into this.

Matt

Welcome back bro, hope you had a good break

you should watch the tie in movie el camino when you finish breaking bad instead of jumping straight to better call saul. it ties up the series nicely and is really good. it honestly felt like an episode of the series so if you wanted to keep the schedule tight you could do the movie and then episode one of better call saul.

Alex Thrailkill

Did anyone mention you recognize Todd from season 2 of Fargo? He’s the Butcher of Luverne😂

PureGonzo

Just in case this hasn’t already been said, I highly recommend watching “El Camino” after finishing Breaking Bad. It’s like an extended extra episode that is every bit as integral to the story as the series itself.

Fred Migliorini

Aaron Paul in the dinner table scene 😂🤣😂

Toe

Disagree about it being integral but it’s pretty cool I guess

MH

Funny that you mentioned Peter (Gould) in the episode 5 reaction. He is the main showrunner for Better Call Saul. Vince Gilligan and Peter came up with the idea for the show, but Peter is the main engine behind it.

Bella

"Show me Todd shooting the kid again" 😂😂

Laurel

You are almost to the top of the coaster where it starts going down at breakneck speed until the end of the ride. Buckle in.

The train episode is the moment when I first felt that the show lost what made the first four seasons so genius - the great sense of restraint and gradually built tension. Breaking Bad always had its shocking and tense moments, but they felt earned and smartly written into the plot. While the directing and cinematography in Freight Train were great, the climax of the episode with the kid felt forced, solely to give poor Jesse another trauma, lol. And the sheer idea of a train heist itself, although very well-directed, was just like what James called it - a GTA5 mission. As James said, most other shows would just get to this point in season 2. Especially since most viewers would be satisfied with just more cool scenes of Walter going around and telling people that he is, in fact, the danger. So, i guess this season is a crowd pleaser for a reason. The series is still overall good and has excellent episodes ahead. I think Granite State is probably my favorite.

Laurel

I don’t think shooting the kid was a forced plot point, it served as the impetus for Jesse to want to opt out,, and for Walt to work more closely with Todd ( being vague to avoid spoilers) which sets up so much future story arc. Granite State is a great episode, and one I appreciate more with each viewing.

Been waiting for dead freight 😁😎

I’m finally caught up with the patreon. Can’t wait to see James get to the episode we all know is coming 😎

Dead Freight is my favorite episode of the whole series. Looking forward to BCS. I liked it just as much as BB. It gets progressively better throughout the serise the same way this show does. The PERFECT spin off imo.

It was good and worth watching for sure, but to me it is easily the weakest of the three main Breaking Bad properties.

PureGonzo

Hate to sound like a broken record, but “El Camino” is a must watch after Breaking Bad. It picks up directly where the series left off.

Tohasim

Agree, I've watched BrBa at least 6 times through and BCS 3 or 4, El Camino I've only watched once haha, will be twice soon tho, when James uploads

George

why does the video get out of sync so quickly? Has anyone mentioned for you to superimpose a blurred out version often to make sure our video is still in sync?

Man... at the end of the intro just before Drew takes off on his bike with the tarantula, you can hear the faint train whistle in the distance. That sends a chill down my spine. And that could never happen the first time watching because it's... just a train whistle.
