I had no idea Alan Arkin and John Goodman had such prominent roles in this film. Love them. I always wonder if casting directors use the status of the supporting actors to balance out the lead's status in the film. I don't know how to explain it, but is Ben Affleck more believable as an "average" every man instead of a superstar because he is surrounded by actors who are viewed as legendary and maybe perceived as a step above him? Is the average audience member's perceptions of the actors taken into consideration for the casting teamwhen the story is based on reality and not a blockbuster spectacle?
