What a blowout to close out the show. I think they did a good job of balancing the bleak nature of a cyberpunk dystopia, without abandoning some lingering hope despite the setting. One aspect I think the show (and the game TBH) really nailed was that people in David's line of work just... don't get to grow old. The head of Arasaka is like... 150 or whatever, and going strong, but you don't get to be a legend at ground level until you've died in a blaze of glory. Still, a few people get to find something worth the struggle, and David was able to find something he thought was worth it. Sucks he didn't get to go to the moon though.
