Another movie you’ll love is Rango, has a few stars from the Pirates movies(Depp chief among them), and the same director. The movie is a work of art.

Hi James. Along with the Pirates films, you should also watch the Mask of Zorro along with it, because it is from the same Screenwriters as the Pirates of the Caribbean The Curse of the Black Pearl. They actually took a lot of inspiration from the fun adventurous tone from that film, and but it into Pirates. Also, the lead character of Mask of Zorro, Alejandro, acts a little like Jack at times. Definitely where they got a little inspiration for Jack from definitely. Also great cast Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Also Stephen Speilberg produced the film as well. Also, you missed an end credit scene at the end of Pirates. Might go back and watch it if you did not catch it.

Dont know if you caught this but when Jack was stabbed and Cursed Jack was revealed he was only cursed because of that sleight of hand swipe of the coin from the chest. Other reactions I see often mistake Jack for being cursed all along with Barbossa and the crew when in fact it was the exact moment he swiped the coin.
