Yay, finally! Now you could try other movies from Tarkovsky. My favorite of his is Solaris. Also, if you're interested in reading about his creative process, Tarkovsky has a book titled Sculpting in Time where he talks about his ideas, his inspiration and about cinema as an art form. Though it would probably be a good idea to watch several of his movies beforehand.

Been meaning to rewatch this film for over 5 years and I'm glad I got to rewatch it along with your reaction to it... I've realized on this watch that I find it to be, not only better than every other film imo, but just kinda everything I want from cinema. Also, I'd strongly recommend Tarkovsky's Mirror, as well as (if you haven't already seen them) Angel's Egg and August in the Water.
