1. Missing out on the extended version, but that's ok. (Heads up if you are syncing) 2. We probably should get you to watch "The Abyss" (again?). But yeah, the extended version tells a bit more on Ripley's Daughter that was left behind and why she wants to protect Newt so much. Also a harrowing scene with the automated guns. A few details here and there, but not missing much.

Three more alien variants larger than a queen alien. The Queen Alien (6 meters), King Alien (7 meters), Empress (7.5 meters). and the Queen Mother (15.2 meters). I'd love to see those on the big screen. Edit* Source: https://preview.redd.it/cdd8wxt5he161.jpg?auto=webp&s=02deef55965402339ee9fa769ada3c197036cd2a

Both are great movies. Aliens was one of my favorite movies as a kid, but I’ve grown to prefer the first one. For one, it’s more timeless - Alien doesn’t look or feel like a 70s movie in the way Aliens looks and feels like an 80s movie, everything from the costume design to the dialog. I also love that Alien keeps its mysteries and offers more questions than answers. Adds to the unsettling cosmic horror vibe. So many movies want to spell everything out.

Aliens is my favorite movie of all time so that's where I lean towards. It has all the best elements of a blockbuster with the love and care and ingenuity of an indie film. It's insane how many filmmaking tricks were thought up in this one in order to keep the majority of the effects practical. This film actually didn't have a much bigger budget than the last one. James Cameron just came from the Roger Corman school of filmmaking, so he knows how to stretch a budget. You should watch the behind-the scenes documentaries on this and Alien. It's an incredible story about his this series came to life.

This is my 2nd favourite film of all time. I can totally see why people enjoy the first more though. It's purely down to genre preference to me. That last 45 mins of this film is absolutely kickass!! Check out the Director's Cut in the future if you can, brings even more emotion and some cool other scenes.
