Great episode! The showdown scene between Officer Lou Solverson and the Gerhardt's is one of the top scene's from any season in my opinion. Noah Hawley is the man/genus behind the creation of this amazing show - I encourage you to follow his work - he kind of came from relative nowhere to create 2 of the most spectacular shows of the last 10 years - "Fargo" of course and "Legion" which is one I believe you'd be blown away by. Non-spoiler but super important fact that adds such a HUGE cool layer of character context and show lore - the main protagonist, police officer Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson) is the same retired cop who runs the diner in Season 1 - Molly's father. The swag he had in that show - now you see him as a young man (the parallel between his showdown in the diner with Lorne Malvo and his showdown in this episode 3 with Rye Gerhardt take on a whole new richness when you make that connection). I hope you get a chance to read this so you know - as it makes Season 2 even more fun - not that it needs much help! Love your work - would be fun to compare some ideas on best directors of the past 20 years and who is up next to take the torch (not that I want or expect Wes Anderson - cannot wait for you to get to '"Rushmore" -, Paul Thomas Anderson, Chris Nolan, The Cohen Brothers, Darren Aronofsky, David O'Russell, Quentin Tarantino and a few more top dogs left unmentioned - to stop making great films). It will just be fun to see who is forming the next generation of that level of apex talent. Thanks for getting to these episodes! Its a delight to re-watch them with you and this patron family.
