Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely THURSDAY and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Monday and Wednesday!

No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first! :)

full metal jacket and the equalizer!!!

I really wish people would vote for Kurosawa. After watching both Solaris and Stalker be on polls for months and never chosen, it seems like that’s what’s gonna happen again here. It’s sad too because both Tarkovsky and Kurosawa are incredible and have such amazing films and shaped the industry as we know it.

Cody Price

I’m Indiana Jones and Spotlight all the way. :)

WhatRaySay

Oh man I hadn't realized you still haven't seen Full Metal Jacket, that definitely gets my vote!

Brittyn Lindsey

Adaptation is excellent! You’ll really enjoy it as a filmmaker. I saw it in the theater, and rewatched it a couple weeks ago. 9/10 for me.

Ken

Welp, Raiders and FMJ already have this sewn up. But Ran has my vote

Brothers with jake gyhillanhall and Toby Maguires best performance ever unbelievable film

Sean. I don’t think you need me to tell you how much I dislike comments like this right?

Sonia Deepak

Lots of good ones on this, but I'm throwing my vote in for Ran since it seems like it's the underdog

Anonymous

Spotlight messed me up fr, I honestly had no clue until that movie

How have you not seen Raiders of the Lost Ark yet? Absolute classic! Spotlight -- the most jarring thing is it really happened and continues to happen. The ending right before the credits will rock you to your core. It just will. Ran -- Kurosawa's brilliant retelling of the Shakespeare play King Lear set in medieval Japan.. Full Metal Jacket -- Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece on the Vietnam War and it made R Lee Ermey into a household name in the process Equalizer -- Denzel doing a brilliant turn in a remake of the 80s TV series All solid choices

Adaptation, best Nick Cage? Yes. Why? Double Cage!!

Nick Parker

Jarhead and First Man are underrated

Matt

I can't wait for a First Man reaction, hope The Handmaiden and Climax get reactions too

Bd Blake

James, you need two categories. A Indie Categorie and a Pop Categorie. The Popular Movies are going to totally destroy the Indie Movies. We've been staring at RAN for like a month now. Your peanut gallery here are all big fans of it, but the masses only want what they know: Pop Movies. Indie Movie Monday Pop Movie Wednesday Dealer's Choice Thursday I have voted. I have spoken. I am done.

Anonymous

You should finish the Before Trilogy as your Thursday movie!

Matt

I like Indiana Jones but the before trilogy needs some love too

Anonymous

I know it’ll probably never win a poll, but I really think you’d love Adaptation. It is bizarre and funny and beautifully, subtly acted.

Brett Coster

I agree wholeheartedly with Bd Blake's suggestion, so my three votes are: 1. Ran (Indie) 2. Raiders of the Lost Ark (Pop) 3. Full Metal Jacket (Dealer's choice) All are very good movies.

Bd Blake

ALSO, James, if you are going Indiana Jones, start with Temple of Doom. It is the start of Indy's character arc over the trilogy and more rewarding if watched in chronological order over release order. That is all.

Ken

It's not that kind of trilogy. Watch and enjoy in any order.

Blake Meads

One of these days, RAN is going to win

Marvelous Dolcy

Hey James Respectfully i agree with BD Blake. Listen i love Indiana Jones and Kubrick. But unfortunately the lesser known gems are being overlooked by mainstream films. Indie movie: Ran Pop Movie: Full Metal Jacket Dealers Choice: Before Midnight Ps you should finish the Before trilogy regardless of pollss in my opinion. Anyway James hope you consider. All the best dude

James, do you watch any sports movies? Olympics start tomorrow. I was trying to find some Olympic themed movies. Miracle, Prefontaine, Chariots of Fire, Nadia, and my favorite nostalgia watch: Animalypics (with the 84 olympics boycott, these were supposed to play during broadcasts. So the turned the vignettes into a movie. The animation showcases future big time names in Disney & Pixar. It’s fun to watch but you gotta be in the animation mood.)

A few suggestion to maybe add to your list: Sling Blade (1996) The Book of Eli (2010) The Fugitive (1993) Wild Things (1998)
