Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely SUNDAY and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Monday and Wednesday!

No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first! :)

I'll be doing The Hunt, the actual Danish one for Thursday.

Let’s show Kurosawa some love folks and choose RAN. It is such a remarkable film.

Jordan Porter

There’s some killers on this list!

Martin Nicholls

👍 13 Assassins. The only foreign language movie I've ever seen at the cinema (I assume we're talking about the modern version?)

We NEED to get Before Sunrise up there. The entire trilogy is just wonderful.

Climax or Paris, Texas 🙏

Ad Astra is vastly underrated. Came out in 2019. A space drama starring Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones

Matt

"BEST POLL EVER" I love all these films

O brother where art thou has never had a decent movie review, or ever had a movie review on YouTube. Also genuinely a great movie by the Coen Brothers

Anonymous

Pans Labyrinth is just one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. So underrated I think. Saw it in 4th grade lmao, probably responsible for my love of horror and monsters now

Anonymous

The good the bad and ugly is on another level, plz lets give it some love

Great poll, but Climax is my recommendation and I know he would lose it over the cinematography and some of the crazy stuff that happens in it! (I would also be happy with Paris, Texas winning since it’s one of my all time faves!)

Brett Coster

So hard to choose, but: 1 Pan's Labyrinth 2 Ran

kimsmk

Ran. Paris, Texas. Climax.

Pan's labyrinth, The good, The bad, and the Ugly. One if the best westerns ever! What I love about Pan's labyrinth is that they did use Spanish actors, instead of popular latino actors, it would have been bad to hear them trying to speak Castillian Spanish.

Christian Rennie

I voted for more than one, but a special shout out to Paris Texas. The cinematography is outstanding. You sometimes forget when it was made during some of the scenes because of the timelessness of the movie’s construction. Some good acting. Definitely worth a watch even it isn’t in a watch along.

SHOPLIFTERS TRUST ME!!!

Oh brother….. requires intelligence and a Cohen bothers style movie. Based off “ The Odyssey” I think🤔

Effing Takashii Miike on this list. James it’s nice to see real directional talent instead of the more popular mainstream sludge. You need to check out his entire filmography: Audition, Ichi the Killer, Visitor Q, there are so many. 13 Assassins is fantastic if you love Japanese Cinema.

Nick Kessler

You have to watch fist full of dollars then for a few dollars more then the good the bad and the ugly. Can’t watch part 3 of the trilogy first!

Nick Kessler

Yeah but he needs to see the first two movies in the trilogy first! I’ll happily vote to watch fist full of dollars then for a few dollars more then the good the bad and the ugly

Mike B

I hope you love Takashi Miikes work whenever it wins one of these polls. He's got some great stuff.

Ran and Ad Astra for me. Kurosawa vs Shakespeare? Always a must-see. Ad Astra is flawed but it's one of those movies that just pops into your head unbidden.

Anonymous

OBWAT is totally worth it. Also, I hate to be that guy, but Ender's Game is a great book and meh movie.

Anonymous

Glad to see Ran made it on the list! Now, if only more people had seen this masterpiece and would vote for it.... But it looks like Pan and O Brother are gonna win, two excellent movies so I am looking forward to that.

kimsmk

If 27 people have seen that film in one community I think there is something right with the world.

Anonymous

For a sec I thought this said The Sound of Music and I got all excited.

Anonymous

And I think you will love Pan’s Labyrinth. I was deeply obsessed with it for a while. And then you’ll probably want to see Devil’s Backbone - I believe Del Toro thinks of that and PL as kind of a pair, even though the stories aren’t directly connected.

Sam Peckinpah'd Straw Dogs

Marvelous Dolcy

Ive heard Shoplifters is good but i havent seen. Again my votes except for the Good the Bad and the Ugly are getting low votes but such is life. The winners are great choices Pans Labyrinth is expertly done. O Brother Where Art though is not my fav Coens. Would love to see someone react to their Millers Crossing because its an underated gem

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

Looks like Ran is destined to end up in a place like The Handmaiden in these polls. Can anyone think of a Kurosawa film that would do better in this community? Maybe Seven Samurai or Yojimbo, but its hard to think of a Kurosawa film with more popular cache the Ran.

Before Sunrise and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly need to be on subsequent lists!

Ken

Seven Samurai might have more name recognition
