Marriage story hive come on guys

Anonymous

Trainspotting 2 please. Come on Tombstone is rubbish haha

Anonymous

Barry Lyndon and Blue Velvet are essential viewing!

Anonymous

PLEASE! Cell Block 99. If you like brutal action, look no further! Not a big Vince Vaughn fan, but he is a wrecking machine in this!

Anonymous

at this point I’m like Patrick Star with Rocky, telling Barry you can go when you feel like it

Jason Cooley

Can't help but think Bone Tomahawk should be viewed before Cell Block.

MackenzieJ

I wasn't expecting Marriage Story to grab me the way it did, not to be missed!

Anonymous

The Assassination of Jesse James and Ford v Ferrari

Brittyn Lindsey

It was especially heartbreaking for me because it brought me back to my parents’ divorce and what they were going through. Adam Driver is so amazing in this.

Brittyn Lindsey

I hope you add Call Me By Your Name back to the future polls 🙏

Angie

The Handmaiden is gorgeous to look at and the story engrossing. Very underrated.

Anonymous

Exciting stuff! Although I'm still patiently waiting for Hot Fuzz. Would be so fun to see you go through my favorite comedy! I'd even pay more on Patreon just to watch the whole recording, haha. If you ever do pick up Hot Fuzz on bluray, there's a pretty awesome commentary track by Quentin Tarantino and Edgar Wright. They talk about a lot of movies, influences, and movie-making in general.

Anonymous

Onwards, my fellow Barry Lydon voters! We must push-on to victory!

Brittyn Lindsey

Assassination of Jesse James is SUCH a good film. Sadly, not enough people have seen it so it never seems to get enough votes. James, just watch it anyway because of your love for Roger Deakins! 🙂

Celes

The Handmaiden ♥️

Anonymous

Trainspotting 2 is great, but Tombstone is not trash! Val kilmer kills it in that movie

Anonymous

Wasn't Kiss Kiss Bang Bang on here last week? I was hoping that would stay up. Such a great film and a good follow up after Nice Guys

Anonymous

Marriage story has some of the best acting I’ve ever seen in a movie. Totally heartbreaking

Anonymous

marriage story is good..but Tombstone is my huckleberry

Cifer

Man, more great choices. I feel like the 2nd and 3rd place choices should be reused for the next poll lol

Sean Turner

I don't know if you'll be able to find it but I'd love for you to watch The Boat That Rocked (2009)

Lily

yo james, would you be down to react to some more comedies? whether you put it on the poll or pick one for thursday as a lil departure from the serious stuff... have you seen superbad/knocked up/pineapple express/this is the end/get him to the greek/forgetting sarah marshall for example? i just think they would be fun to see you react to one of them, any judd apatow ones are good 😂

Lily

actually would love to see you react to some of sacha baron cohen’s work if you aren’t already familiar of course like borat (2006) and brüno (2009) then you could dive into all his work on your own if you wish, he’s a genius

Sonia Deepak

So many good ones! I'm still pushing for Gattaca because it's an underrated scifi classic. Hoping it makes the "James pick of the week". Come on scifi nerd faction!

I just rewatched The Handmaiden this weekend. Such an amazing movie, I wanted to recommend it for this poll but I see I was beaten to it :-). Before I first saw it I thought it would be a historical drama, it is a bit but quickly turned into something else, and then into something else again... It is a rollercoaster of genres and the movie doesn't blink an eye and dares you to hold on.I'm afraid it will not get many votes because not enough people saw it but it deserves to be viewed.

Brittyn Lindsey

This is the End is my #1 favorite comedy in the last 20 years. It’s especially good if you’re familiar with the actors’ other with like Freaks and Geeks and! Pineapple Express!

jason

Tombestone.....but Barry Lynden is close. Its more of a movie buffs movie.

jason

of the same era I would think the duelist

Anonymous

Hey James, did you watched Mr. Robot? If not I would heavily recommend it to you. It's one of the best Shows I ever watched. From a filmmaking standpoint it's a modern masterpice. It's shot beautifully, the acting is on another level. In general a sensation of a show. Maybe you consider it in the future. Im sure you will love it.

Anonymous

Hopefully the two Westerns get up. Both are superb. Wonderfully filmed with some phenomenal performances

Anonymous

Seen it and thought it was awesome. Brad Pitt’s best performance in my opinion

Garry L

Omg could this be the week Jesse James wins?

Anonymous

Agreed hahaha I’m trying each poll and waiting patiently. I think it’s the best looking movie ever made.

Yessica C

The Handmaiden is very unlikely going to win this week. Please include it in future polls!

Anonymous

Ditto on watching Mr. Robot!

Anonymous

also can two people vote for Blue Velvet to bump it to second place?

Anonymous

You should see if you want to add Bronson to a future list. Features a younger Tom Hardy

Sam JD

I hope Ford V Ferrari is an option again

Anonymous

Just watched your The Big Lebowski review. Here now to remind you that Raising Arizona needs to be an option for future polls. ;)

Anonymous

If blue velvet won it would be your first reaction david lynch and i think every deserves the lynchian experience although mulholland drive is also a nice place to start.

Angie

He already watched Mulholland Drive for this channel.

Anonymous

What do you guys think of The Piano?

Dustin Bruce

Yo, I hope you add My Cousin Vinny back to the poll!

Blake Meads

I really hope either Blue Velvet or Barry Lyndon win this poll. If you love framing and camera movement, both of those movies will blow your mind.

Angie

I would love it. “ The Heart Asks Pleasure First” is still one of my favorite piano pieces.
