Season 2 of Succession is here and I finally feel we're hitting the high rolling thrills this series can truly offer after finishing the first season. Interested in seeing the chess pieces and where they may fall this time around.

Let’s go L to tha OG

Chaos

Kendall's rap is so cringe it's great. There's a level of cringe that's so great it transcends the normal human condition which Kendall achieves in episode 8. If he dropped that track IRL, many people in 2024 would unironically think the rap is great. Your reactions to "Succession" are damn good.

Lewish

L to the OG is maybe one of the funniest scenes i’ve seen in a show

Linda

Love the dialogue. Why can't I write like that? 😫😫😫

Justin Broadbent

Heads up Episode 7 uncut is missing the intro/sync up.

I'd bet that Will Ferrel & Adam McKay are probably heading most of the comedy in the show including (well especially) Romans lines lol

Martin Nicholls

They're just producers, that's highly unlikely. Given it's a very British style of comedy anyway, and absolutely nothing like what Will Ferrel does, and given Jesse Armstrong has form for stuff exactly in the style (like The Thick of It) - it points much more strongly in the direction of the person actually credited plus an actual writing staff. If Ferrel or McKay had one line they'd have writing credits. The show really is an evolution of The Thick of It/In the Loop but US-based, toned down for US audiences and given a huge budget.

Jon Exler

I never said they'd be writing but it'd be foolish to think they had no say in the matter, "just producers" is a very silly thing to say. Producers have more control over the development of a project than anyone else considering they are paying for it

Martin Nicholls

I mean, it's code for "investor" really, it's not really like they'd ever really be around. Brad Pitt was a producer of The OA, I wouldn't think for a second he had any direct involvement other than putting up cash. Adam McKay directed the first episode and kinda set the tone a little, but I'd be surprised if he had very much involvement after that. You'd have to ask them, of course, but I doubt it.
