Reworked: Selvadoradian Herbalism v. 1.2.0 (Patreon)

A complete overhaul of the mod! The mod has finally been adapted and supplemented with the latest game updates. In addition, parts of this mod have been removed and moved to a new mod Selvadoradian Poisoning Overhaul, so that Selvadoradian Herbalism now only focuses on making the potions. These two mods complement each other quite well. Please note that any old versions of Selvadoradian Herbalism released before 2024 may conflict with the new mod! Please also note that the new version requires the Lot51 Core Library instead of XML Injector!

What exactly was changed?

The following changes and adjustments have been made:

• The selection menu of potion recipes for brewing and all recipes themselves have been adjusted to reflect current game updates since the last mod update (and that was quite a bit).
• The ingredients for many recipes have also been adjusted and the production time has also been shortened in some cases.
• Crafting potions now not only increases the Herbalism skill (periodic), but also slightly increases the Selvadoradian Culture skill (only at the end when the potion is completed).
• Added three new simple potion recipes (all potions from the Base Game Children's Experiment Table) that require for adults a low Herbalism skill level. The skill levels required to craft the old recipes have been partially changed to better harmonize with new recipes.
• The Retrating Potion has been removed from the mod, it's kind of boring and feels more like a cheat. The custom potion Death by Laught has been renamed to Hysterical Tiger and has been slightly weakened. Now you don't die immediately from the potion, but get a Playful +500 buff for three hours. Death from laughter is not immediate, but is possible at any second. One should relax and calm down in order to survive.
• No new custom potions have been added in this update, but they are already being worked on. However, it requires a longer testing period, so I decided to keep it for the next update.

Important Notes: 

• In the previous version, the Antidote had different qualities. With this update that has been deleted from this mod. However, this will be moved to the new mod Selvadoradian Poisoning Overhaul. This mod has been full coordinated with the new mod, so they both complement each other well. So if you want the quality of the antidotes self produced to have an impact, please install this other mod as well. Otherwise, the antidote produced wirh Selvadoradian Herbalism mod will always work well without any side effects. Please note that any old versions of Selvadoradian Herbalism released before 2024 may conflict with this new mod!
• My Deadly Poisons mod is not yet coordinated with these two mods. However, you can use the Deadly Poisons safely with these two mods. But the quality of the antidote will not have any effect on Deadly Poisons game play yet. The Deadly Poisons update is still being worked on.

Please also note that the new version requires the Lot51 Core Library instead of XML Injector!

✒️ Main Mod Description

The Selvadoran culture not only hides the old treasures of the Omiscan civilization but also the secrets of its magical herbalism. By developing the skills of Herbalism and the Local Culture of Selvadorada Sims you can discover some recipes of the magical potions and even brew the famous Selvadoran poison antidote yourself!

Certain ingredients are always required to make the potions.If you don't want to get these ingredients through the gameplay, I recommend my Purchase System Overhaul Mod, with the help of which all ingredients can be conveniently ordered.

Available recipes

To be able to brew more potions, your Sim must develop their skills in Herbalism! The minimum skill levels are given in the table. Most of the potions that you can now make yourself are originally offered in the Reward Store. Initially, there is only one Custom Potion now.

🈯 Translations

The mod only uses ready-made strigs from the game, so no translations are necessary. The game is immediately available in all languages.

🚨Compatibility

There shouldn't be any compatibility problems because the mod doesn't overwrite anything. In the previous version, some game resources were overwritten. In this version there are no more overrides!

⚠️ Required Terms

For full functionality are required:

• Outdoor Retreat game play pack.
• Jungle Adventures game play pack.
• Lot51 Core Library (separate download).

The use of scripts must be allowed in the game settings!

📌 Installation Instructions

Rules for using mods:

• Back up your current save files just in case!
• Download the zip archive and extract all files to your Mods folder (how)!
• Delete the game cache files (how)!

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO DELETE THE OLD VERSIONS FIRST!
