This mod improves the interactions with urns and stones!

✅ Last Update Notes

Version 2.2.0

The mod was switched to the Lot51 Core Library Script. The XML Injector is therefore no longer required. Additionally, the code has been optimized to overwrite fewer resources than in the last version. Release Spirit mood buffs have been adjusted slightly so that Sims now receive less intense emotions than before. Ultimately, the Destroy interaction for empty urns was now hidden since EA itself has such an interaction in the game, so it was an unnecessary duplication.

Version 2.1.0

Adjusted execution tests of the "destroy" interaction for urns so that it can now actually destroy any urn, with or without a ghost. Previously, the destruction interaction was not displayed for ex-ghost urns, i.e. when the urn was attached to a Sim that was previously a ghost and has now come back to life. Also added some Stoic-style traits from the chingyu1023 and maplebell trait collections to prevent strong emotions on ghost release.

✒️ Mod Description

With this mod, the following interactions are added or modified for the urns and tombs:

  • The urn/stone can now be instantly destroyed through a new Destroy interaction without having to release the spirit first. The urns with a spirit are immediately destroyed without a confirmation question. Even when releasing the spirit without destroying the urn/stone, there is no longer a confirmation dialog. You know what you're doing!
  • Even children (but not toddlers) can now release the spirits and destroy urns/stones. I don't know why EA didn't allow that.
  • An empty urn and an urn with a ghost can now also be destroyed directly in the inventory without confirmation! Away with it!
  • In addition, the two interactions (release spirit and destroy urn/stone) are no longer blocked if the grim reaper is still present at the lot. That was also blocked by EA.
  • Upon releasing the ghost, the Sim will receive personalized buffs. From now on it's not just the two standard buffs "Sad +1" and "Happy +1". Now the palette is a little richer, namely: "Energized +1", "Fine 0", "Sad +1", "Sad +2" or "Sad +3", depending on the relationship between the sim and the ghost or some of the sim's traits. In addition, the duration and icons of the corresponding buffs have been optimized. A happy buff is not appropriate here.
  • The option to add the ghost directly to the household has been removed again, since this is already possible via the standard ways in the game. I didn't want to overcrowd the pie menu.

The following traits influence the result:

  • EA Traits: Evil, Gloomy, Kindness Ambassador, Clear Perspective, Calming Aura, Moment Of Clarity, and Cold Hearted.
  • Kuttoe's New Emotional Traits: Stoic, and Calm.
  • Maplebell's Stoic trait.
  • Traits from Vicky Sims: Melancholy, and Well Balanced.
