Actually, I would have planned a lot more for this release... Nevertheless, some things still don't work as I had imagined. But I'll post it anyway. I'm calling it version 0.9 though, because it still doesn't do for number 1.0. I ask you for feedback.

This mod adds new poisons and antidotes to the game! There are currently available:

  • Hydrogen Cyanide, a highly toxic chemical liquid,
  • Rodenticide, a toxic chemical based on zinc phosphide,
  • Scorpion Kiss, a solution based on the venom of the Selvadoradian scorpion,
  • Phytomenadione, an antidote for poisoning by ratiticides.

So this mod update doesn't add any new poisons, but changes a lot in the gameplay!

The Jungle Adventures and Get To Work packs and the XML Injector Script are required for correct functionality! The script must also be installed in the mod folder!

Introduction of the poisons

  • All poisons and antidotes can be ordered on the computer in the traditional order menu in the new section "Purchase Poisons & Antidotes" and end up directly in the inventory. In the next update of Purchasing Overhaul Mod it will be included in SimSim Market.
  • All purchased poisons can be consumed straight from the bottle, which will of course result in instant poisoning, although the level of lethality will vary. The poisoned suffer from severe poisoning symptoms.
  • The cyanide is of course instantly fatal. The rat poison causes death after a few minutes to hours of agony, but is curable in most cases (but not 100%) with a medical antidote. Scorpion solution poisoning can even be flushed out of the body on its own in some cases, or cured with the magical Selvadoran antidote. However, without healing it can also lead to death.
  • Whether the victim is cured after taking an antidote or dies anyway, other factors can contribute to some extent, such as age, health, fitness and some others...

New Features: Poisoning of Bar Drinks!

  • All poisons can now not only be drunk from the bottle to commit suicide, but added into all bar drinks to poison other Sims! To poison a drink, your Sim must have a poison bottle in their inventory!

Special cases for special Sims

  • Pregnant Sims are immortal at EA, so I made an add-on to change this. The add-on "PregnantCanDie" only changes the trait "isPregnant", which enables pregnant sims to die. If you already use other mods that do this, you don't need this add-on!
  • Even children and toddlers are immortal at EA. I left it at that for toddlers, so they can't drink the poisons from the bottle! Instead, I've now allowed children to drink poisons! So now they can also be poisoned and also die. It uses the adult death animations, so it looks a bit strange.
  • Now there are also some differences in how the poisons affect vampires (they don't die from it, of course). Even the Grim Reaper can drink a poison.
  • Robots, skeletons, and ghosts cannot drink poisons. Other occults (mermaids, plant sims, aliens, and mages) can drink them and die from them, just like regular non-occult sims.

Additional animation effects

In the animations I used some overlays from other creators. But I can't put them directly into the mod because it wouldn't be correct. So you would have to download this extra and put it in the folder with my mod. These are the following files to download:

Translationes

The mod is currently only available in English. I would like to translate and add German, Russian and Spanish in the coming days. If anyone would like to translate this for me though, I'd be grateful.

Possible compatibility problems

I've reworked the mod so that it doesn't overwrite at the moment. Only the pregnant trait has to be overwritten (in add-on) so that the pregnant sims can also die.

Installation Instruction

  • Copy the *.package File into you Sims 4 Mods Folder!
  • Path: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
