I think I accidentally drew poison ivy!  🌿  Red hair with green plants is always just such a good combo!!

I am in the middle of working on the upcoming tutorial and after working on it all day yesterday, I decided to cool down with a random comfort zone drawing and here is what came out.  I just love leaning into the warm yellow, reds and greens!!  Especially when embracing more traditional looking textures!

Also somewhat leaning into those inky vibes.  I bought a bundle of textures and brushes from True Grit Texture Supply, so I am also somewhat experimenting with those to see how I like them.  I used my normal chrissamessyink brush for the lineart as for this one, but the dry brush background texture and the paper texture that is overlayed on top of the whole piece came from the true grit bundles.

Anyway, I hope you like her!

And the new tutorial on female body types should be coming out THIS week!  I am partway through editing and decided I wanted to add another section to it, so I'll be drawing and filming a bit more before it's done but it is close!

Wrong shade of red. Ivy's is the shade of a poison arrow frog, that bright RED of nature that says NOPE. This is lovely, lively, very intriguing!

I love it!!! The color scheme matches perfectly with autumn colors losing their vibrance and turning into those deep earth tones!!!!!! 10 of 10!!!!

Ahh! Thank you so much King! Autumn colors and earth tones are the best, aren't they!?

This drawing is gorgeous (both versions)!!! May I ask what brush(es) did you use for it? I really like the effect.

Thank you Paula! I used the ChrissaMessyInk brush for the lineart, which you can find here on Patreon. For the background I used a brush called 'flat Greaser" from the True Grit Texture Supply's Rusty Nib pack. The paper is also from True Grit Texture supply and it is the "toothy pastel board" from their Chromograph pack!

Thank you so much for telling me! I'll look for your brush here and check the others too! You're so kind!
