As promised!  Here is the timelapse and some of the thoughts that have been going through my head lately!

I talk about patience regarding individual art pieces and how long they take as well as the art journey overall and tackling that frustration that we often feel.

My hope that this might be a little encouraging for you, or maybe I just keep you company while you draw for a few minutes!
Enjoy! <3

Chrissa Is absolutely right about taking breaks during our art journey. Taking the night off to do something not related to my art has always helped me when I'm stuck. OR usually when I'm doing yard work, going for a walk when my wife forces me (haha), binge Netflix, or even taking a moment away to shower brings out my "spark" of creativity. Hugs sensei Chrissa, I love your freaking guts!!!!

Thank you Chrissa! I forgot about the eye-ability Gap, that's really frustrating lol Right now I decided to learn the bƔsica and I felt relaxing practicing some shadows on a sphere, I loved that bc sometimes I felt like I was hating the art process and that's not true, I was just frustrated, hearing this made all the sense to me, thanks!

Hey Leena! No problem! Yeah, it is super frustrating and something that keeps happening as you improve. I wish I could say there's a day when that cycle doesn't keep happening but I guess it is called a cycle for a reason! haha. But at least knowing about it puts those feelings in perspective!

So good to have a wife that forces you to take those breaks from art to refresh your brain, even if she doesn't realize she's doing it! haha But yeah, I totally agree about the shower thing! The best ideas always happen in the shower! hugs hugs!

Thanks for the talk, it really helps put things into perspective! It is necessary to be cool about the art journey stuff, because there will be ups and downs and being too serious about it can really cause some harm! Much love is needed to go through all the hardship of learning a skill! Bravo again!

Thank you so much for this. I really, really, r e a l l y needed to hear this, especially the parts about how Instagram can and DOES distort ones perception about other artistsā€™ productivity. I drew constantly ever since I was little until I graduated high school, then I moved countries and didnā€™t draw a single thing for 8 years šŸ˜”!! I have a lot of regret about this and I canā€™t stop wondering where I could of been with my art now. I feel like I have a lot of ā€œcatching upā€ to do and constantly put myself under a lot of self-made pressure. Anyway, I know you canā€™t change the past but itā€™s hard not to think about where one could be if one made different choices. Iā€™m trying to tell myself everyday to just relax and enjoy the fact that Iā€™m doing art again, learning new skills, and have found my true passion in life šŸ’• itā€™s a mental journey as well as an art one, and finding peace in both is always going to be the challenge.

Omg! This resonates so much! That feeling of trying to catch up can feel so stressful too! But you got this! As long as you keep going, you'll continue making progress! And your unique experiences, even while not drawing, contribute to making your artwork unique! I'm so glad that you've found your true passion!!

YW! I totally agree. It can be so easy to get caught up in taking that rollercoaster too seriously and it can be really demotivating. But having a little more perspective sometimes can help! Glad you liked the little talk!
