Here is your handy-dandy index to help navigate all the content here!

Please note that I am still in the process up updating all the tags but it is a BIG TASK for so many posts!  So, there may be a few, (especially older) posts not yet appearing under the proper hashtags.  I am doing my best to work on that and get it all up to date as quickly as I can.

I'll do my best to keep this updated for you and more resource links as time goes on!

DRAWING TABLETS

Here are a list of drawing tablets I have personally used and would recommend!

XP-Pen Artist24 Pro
This is the tablet I'm currently working on.  I really like it!  It is a large tablet that is not portable at all but working on the large screen at 2k resolution feels good.  It also has lots of customizable express keys and some convenient extra usb ports on the back!
XP-Pen 15.6 PRO
Really sleek, almost no paralax, nice colors.  I really liked working on this one!
Wacom Intuos Pro
The modern equivilent of my first real tablet.  Not a screen tablet but a very good option and should last you a really long time.
Wacom 22
Really high quality tablet.  The screen texture is really nice.  No express keys though.
Huion Kamvas Pro 20 (2019)
Worked on this one for about a month.  Response time is good, supports pressure and tilt sensitivity.  Colors are not as good as Wacom or XP Pen.  Depending on your gfx card, you might need to buy a new display port cable to get proper colors.  Still a good, less expensive alternative to a cintiq.
Ipad Pro
Working on an ipad pro in procreate with an apple pencil is really nice.  This isn't the ipad I have but my husband has and I have worked on it before.
Ipad Mini
THIS is the handy-dandy little ipad I work on usually!  It is tiny and perfect for travel, which is why I went with it.  If you want it for travel, then this is a good option, but if you want an ipad as your MAIN digital art workspace, I suggest going with a larger version.
Apple Pencil
If you are going to work on an ipad, you need an apple pencil.
Textured Screen Protector
I use this screen protector on my ipad and the texture is super nice for drawing on.  It makes the ipad feel much less glassy and more like paper.

 BOOKS (art and motivational)

Gesture Drawing Vol.3  by Ryan Woodward PDF

A really awesome book on gesture drawing by a gesture drawing EXPERT.  No one does gestures like this guy!

Avatar the last airbender Art Book

This book has TONS of concept art and pencil tests in it.  I love how they show a lot of the rougher work in this book.  The Korra books are really good too, but this one is my fave!

 The Animator's Survival Kit

This is really good at going over the principals of animation. I used it a lot in University when I as studying.

Unfu*k Yourself

I found this book very motivational.  There's a lot of real-talk.

How to Win Friends and Influence People

This book is generally how to be a nice person and come across that way to other people.  Its a really great book for people like me who are naturally really introverted and awkward with people.  I found it very insightful and gives good examples of how to interact with other humans in a good way.  I know that sounds weird, but trust me, its good.  lol
