Revealing the next character portrait from Keepers of the Lost Cities!

Say hello to the handsome Fitz Vacker! He is Biana's older brother and is, at least on the surface, known as a kind of a golden boy.

I have to admit I struggled a bit with this one.

The author liked this straight-on portrait for him, and while that is usually totally my cup of tea, for some reason, I struggled with some parts of his face looking asymmetrical or crooked despite them being 100 percent symmetrical. There were also some features of his that I ended up having to repaint because they looked odd once I added shading.

So, there was a lot of repainting on both his face and his hair! You'll see how much he changes when I upload the timelapse video!

He is also a character that is supposed to be unnaturally handsome, almost too perfect! I never realized that would be so tricky to do!! BUT by the end I think we arrived in a good place!

Since this is a commercial commission, I can't include all of the downloadable files that I normally would, but I put together some of the sketch images and iterations so you can see the progress. 📸✏️
