A little about the process

This piece was all about experimenting with color and getting a kind of desaturated soft look with a big pop of red/orange!

I wouldn't say that this piece went very smoothly or flowed easily, unfortunately. It is such a simple concept but I still struggled with the character for some reason. Part of the struggle was probably that it was in the middle of battling burnout and worrying about 50 other things.

Reaching a good FLOW state has been a big challenge for me over the past couple months. But as I mentioned in my last post, being able to let go of worrying about other projects so that I can put my full attention on ONE thing at a time really helps.

Despite riding the struggle bus for a bit on this piece, we made it through and I really like the atmosphere and colors of it!
