IIRC the elephant and Ferdinand while looking the same where 2 diff tanks ... as they used diff chassis... the Ferdi was based on the Henschel tiger chassis while the elephant used the much more rare Porsche Tiger hull ... also the Elephant was armed with hull mounted MG34/42's where as the Ferdi had no such anti infantry weapons
