I want to explain what was expanded and improved in these three steps since initial autonomy introduction.
Situation
The base is still the same, the process looks for available Sims, but this time it includes Player Sims too. And there is a setting that allows you to exclude Player Sims from the autonomy process.
One new thing that Sims test for is the risk. If they are teens or elders or there are underage Sims at the active lot, the risk will be higher. The risk is used to determine if Sims want to take it, but currently, it doesn't affect the overall possibility of autonomy too much. Later this process will include pregnancy chance as a way to affect the risk too.
Relationship
Not much changed in this process.
In a previous update, romantic conversations were hooked to trigger sex autonomy. If Sims are flirty long enough they will eventually get to the business. Now, if both Sims have a flirty mood and if the target has a high desire level, the chance for sex autonomy trigger will be higher, as much as 75% on the High Level setting.
High Autonomy Level has more effect on other things too.
Location
This process got the most of the work.
Locations are now divided into 5 location style categories. Privacy Location Style will look for the most private place, something that was the default process since autonomy introduction. Comfort Location Style will look for the most comfortable place, like a bed, this one is more common this time around. Semi-Open Location Style will look for bigger rooms or anything from the previous locations styles and ignore more restrictions. Open Location Style will look for something without a roof, like your backyard. Public Location Style will look for anything outside the current active lot.
Location Style is picked based on the Sims that will be having sex, the lot venue type, time of the day, if it's a party, and a little bit of randomness. Every location style carries a risk chance with them, so more extreme places will be less likely to occur.
Evaluation of room types was reworked to recognize them base on the majority of objects. Picked objects are shuffled and only counted as unique to allow for more options. And the performance of finding locations was significantly improved.
Other
Sex Autonomy trigger was reworked to run more spontaneously and be affected by time of the day and day of the week.
Previous commands related to testing sex autonomy were removed and a new one was added to include all information you might need - 'ww.testsexautonomy'.
If all testing goes right, autonomy group sex, NPC pregnancy, possibly a house lot trait and sex-related traits will be added next.
The main issue right now is expectations, wanting something to happen because you think it should happen. This can only be solved with more means in the game allowing you to make the game recognize that. This will require far more thinking and feedback from you to see what you're missing from the current state of autonomy.
