Modding Diary - Balloon Popping, in game! (Patreon)

Hi Guys! 

I hope you all are doing well!😊

This week I finalized the balloon popping animation and ported everything in game, added sound effect and the smoke vfx.here is what it looks like

I had to turn the lights off because the smoke looked white rather than pink, this is something I have to figure out next week because I dont think the color is distinctive enough 

this is what the blue version looks like, im gonna see if I can change the color of the little balloons so that they matches the color of the smoke. Im not 100% sure about these smoke vfx yet, the pink one looks nice but its not saturated enough, the blue one is very blue but it bursts in a vertical direction and disappear very fast afterwards. so I need to figure something out next week.

next week I will be looking into the vfx tool a little more, I learned how to use it this week (it was surprisingly easy), and I will look into how to make other sims on the lot to come and watch the balloon popping, right now they are just hanging around despite my best efforts 😑

I also need to figure out a solution for twins and triplets. 🤔

I think it could go two ways:

1. the game will give you two or three balloons if your sim is pregnant with twins or triplets, and you will have to pop them one by one, the downside is you will have to watch the same animation three times🫥

2. you will get one balloon but there will be more than one smoke coming out of it if your sim is having twins or triplets, the downside I dont think it's going to make sense to everyone, some people might think its broken if more than one colored smoke came out of the balloon 🤨
