Modding Diary - Hospital Visit (Patreon)

Hi guys! I got some exciting stuff to show you today!🤩

This week I worked on the hospital visit part of the game.

After your sim give birth and are resting at the hospital you will get a phone call from either your sims parents, in laws or their close friend

they will ask if they can come visit your sim at the hospital

you will then be able to choose exactly who you want to come see you

 they will spawn in front of the hospital

 and you will be able to receive their congratulations, they may also do this autonomously

they will give your sim a hug

and say their congratulations

your sim will have 30% chance to get one of 6 moodlets, 5 of them happy and one of them stressed

Then I worked on the interaction that allow the visitors to say hi to your sims baby in the incubator.

You can click on the incubator and select "Ask To Say Hi"

sim will wave at the baby

and bend down to see how cute they are

 child sims can also say hi to the baby

they will hold their face and look very surprised/amazed

then chuckle and wave to the baby

 (excuse his broken elbow, already fixed after taking this screenshot)

your sim will get a moodlet after the interaction which I still need to work on.

Originally for the hospital visit I wanted to make it function like the part help interaction from growing together where you receive a phone call from your parents/in laws and they just show up automatically. however I couldn't make it work after trying for two days 😔So I went with plan B and just have you choose the visitors manually.

Next week I want to work on some interactions that allow other sims to talk to your sim about the birth, or just some social interactions that make the visitor experience more immersive. If there is an interaction you would like to see please feel free to leave a comment below!
