Okay, looks like polling is done and... Industrious and Winning Peace take the 1-2 finish as per usual, followed by The New Ron, Where Your God Is, and Speedrun trailing in last.

I am deeply unsurprised, but very prepared.  Which means I've already started the next chapter of Industrious and should have it out soon.  Hinata Fight, Woo!

In more immediate news, while I liked the quest system that I mashed together for Full of Woe, the actual prospect of running a Wednesday Addams Quest didn't turn out to have much fuel to it.  I might revisit that idea later, possibly as a story, but for now I think I'm going to go with an original character and a mishmash world of the player's choosing.

I have a bit more work to do on this idea, but it will be going live on QQ in a few days.

Ok, so piece of advice give this to a bunch of friends, or ask people here to fill it out and see what you get. It will show you if it’s balanced or not. A good quest/CYOA would have a lot of attractive options to chose from (potentially everything is an attractive option) and you need to decide what to get with your budget. Not having a clear perfect path or clear superior path. There is a decent chance you will get people min-maxing the background. Like taking everything that grants points because we are not invested yet in the actual story as it is not written yet. Instead of giving CP for each choice or taking it. I would recommend just adding or removing modifiers. Like pros and cons of each choice. More freedom from being an orphan and living with relatives, but higher skills if with a loving family (specially if they were not poor) since you would have had exposure to different activities or been pushed to study instead of a hands off approach. It should not be one option gives CP and one takes it. It should be that each option offers benefits, but the benefits are different.

There is a DxD quest I follow where there was like 100 pages of discussion during the character creation since all the options were appealing. Also a thing to keep in mind is not giving too much freedom. The only way this will work is through builds, where people vote on builds. Or you place a vote for the first choice, then once decided people chose the next one, so they know what they have to work with. Alternately you can make a few pre built characters with pros and cons (and backgrounds), and some powers or scenarios and we mix and match those together. So what I am saying is split character creation into different parts, or pre-make some stuff to limit the choices so you don’t end up with a weird combo of traits during character creation. And feel free to remove or veto options you wouldn’t enjoy writing as that kills the whole point of writing. If you enjoy it you will write more and better quality stuff.

I'm really interested in the Eldritch setting. I want to see what you make of them all.
