May Development Summary (Patreon)

Just writing a quick post to update everyone on what's currently going on with Moontide's development.
This month has been relatively slow compared to the previous few months, now that I'm working on adding the first real island to the game. No new mechanics or anything have been added (yet) and the new maps, while tiled and laid out, don't have collision mapping at the moment. However, four new and unique enemies have been added and are fully animated and implemented. (This makes 5 land-based enemies in the game so far.) There's also still no new music to show, since PSI has been busy with university.
While there is technically stuff I could write a log about, I feel that it wouldn't be substantial enough to warrant a normal long-form post and gameplay video. The game is getting to a point where it'll need to be playtested soon, so I hope to finish the first dungeon this month and release a limited public playtest build sometime near the end of June. After that's finished and I've implemented people's feedback, I plan on recording and editing the game's first trailer, though that might not be until early-mid July. (I'll also try re-working the Patreon page a little bit around this time, to clean it up and focus it on the game more.)
Anyway, I want to thank you all for your continued support. I know it's been tough lately for all of us, so anyone chipping in to help me finish this project means a lot to me. I'm still working my hardest to deliver something that I hope people will ultimately enjoy sometimes, and it's nice to know that other people care or believe in me somewhat...
