Kings Journal special: 4th anniversary (Patreon)

My anniversary is on May 23rd. I created my Tumblr account in 2016. That was four years ago. Since then I made it through the loss of Tumblr, a suspension, data hacking, commercial art theft  and the Corona epidemic. Though the epidemic still continues.
Each year is something else so I am glad that I reached my 4th anniversary.

In this journal I will show artworks from May 2016 and I will comment on these old works.

Axton from Borderlands 2 and buddies

I played Borderlands 2 a lot and Axton is a rare candy among Bara fanart. Actually all Borderlands content is rare. I drew Axton a few more times later and he is still one of my favourite videogame characters. I still like this side view by the way.

Nathan Drake
Uncharted NSFW fanart is kinda rare.
Nathan was in my first Artpack, too. This artwork is very interesting, because it shows my progress from the beginning until today quite well. Nevertheless it also has a lot in common with my style: Thin lines, a hairy body and clear colours.
Compared to my last Uncharted artwork old Nathan is still okay.

And let's not forget my Uncharted comic. Maybe I should finally release it for public?!
I will think about it.

Geralt of Rivia
I really was and still kinda am a fan of Geralt in the Witcher game(s). I drew him often and it was fun. I wish there would be more gay content of him also by 3D artists, but fanart is determined by mainstream most times.
The artwork with Geralt and the werewolves was recently used by a British rockband and added in their lyric music video. That was cool.
The portray is also interesting, because the colouring looks more like a painting in real life than one paints digitally. I also drew many lines, which I would not draw nowadays anymore, because they are not needed. For example in his beard.
All in all it has a classic approach to drawing.
Up next comes:

A lineart showing Bigby Wolf in the style of the TWAU comics. There were some TWAU comics released with different art styles in each issue. I tried to immitate one of the styles with this lineart. Well in general I think F0-Star and I created the most Bara Bigby fanart over the past years. (Greetings to F0-Star)

And we reach the last artwork from May 2016.
Death from Darksiders 2. This is super interesting, because I used smooth colouring, which still looks quite good after 4 years. I watched many tutorials in the past about colouring and the Artpack shows that I used cel shading and smooth shading.
The smooth shading was kicked out of my work after a poll a few years later, when patrons could vote between cel-shading and smooth shading for my artworks.
Even today, when I see smooth shaded artworks I think "hey you could colour your works like this too" and then I also think: If you do so your artworks will look like many others: Perfectly shaded but not unique. It is tricky.
Regarding Death I always wanted to draw him again using my gathered experience for a new Darksiders artwork.

My wish for my 4th anniversary is, that I will have many more anniversaries. And on each one I hope to be more famous.
I also want to say thank you to each one of you, because without you as my patrons there would be no anniversary. A special thank you is for my first patrons.They support me since the beginning and some are still here. That's great!
At last I want to say, that I am also grateful for all new friends I found by my art.
I do not want to make a big deal of my anniversary, but I am very happy, that I still am Greeneyedwolfking. The guy whose artist name ends with "king" because someone else on Tumblr already used "Greeneyedwolf" as a name.
