In this journal I will show you my concept art for an opera stage.

The backstory
Last December I accompanied my husband to work. He is a singer and one part of his job is working for an opera club, that does tours all across the country.
At first you should erase all those idiotic imaginations that Hollywood movies and celebrity reports might have created in your mind about glamorous hotels and fame.
In reality an opera is hard work and singers and technicians stay in regular, local hotels.
And forget the fame, because these operas are for children who do not care about such things.

Let's get to the point: The stage was damaged, I had free time and the weather was horrible (storm) so I stayed in the theatre and I restored the paintings.

The owner of the opera club loved the result and that's why I got the commission to create a new stage for their new project.

A city, a palace, nature and how it is done
I received a wishlist with all needed parts for the stage. In the next step I drew several artworks and the commissioner could either agree with them or request edits.
It was very nice, because the commissioner directly agreed with my concept and now I will show you the artworks:

An oak and a cherry tree, flowers, separate elements

Fountain and lion throne

The Palace, all elements

The background, forest, city, church, fields

The city and palace elements (turn around to change)

The progress and the carpenter
Until April I will finish the clean, real artworks for the print. All paintings will be created digitally and printed on a special fabric. The fabric will be delivered to a selected carpenter who puts the images together and who also builds the wooden elements.
After that step the stage will be used for the rehearsals and finally for the performances.

The stage will fit inside a small truck and travel all across the country.

Note
Considering the illegal copying of my Patreon archive in the past I decided to keep the title of the opera a secret.

I love Opera! Bravo!

There are very nice ones. Italian operas are usually the most entertaining ones while in German I prefer the fairy-tale operas. I am not a fan of Wagner operas. He created some famous tracks, but each of his operas takes 3 hours and more.
