Why hello there, beWildernauts! Another Monday has dawned and with it comes a new week ahead. We figure it’s also time we come back up for air after a weekend of working our hardware to the point it doubles as a radiator to heat our homes, huh? Yes, our plans to have Noemi ready fell flat again, but we’ve got progress to report and even some treats to pass around! Let’s get y’all up to date on what happing and what to expect next, getting the week off on the right foot!

Alrighty folks and folkettes, let’s get some info into you all. We actually posted a status update like this over the weekend on our Discord’s private beWildernaut only spaces, so for those that prefer to be up to the minute, that’s the place to be. We also had ourselves a flash poll overnight on there as well, where you fans picked which of Kriem, Frankie or Kelsey would headline the tantalizing portion of today’s events! Speaking of which…

Oh our sweet darling, Frankie you’re adorable! Not one to let the young gun girls get all the attention, our mature woman’s getting into the muck herself just a little bit! Her attempt at some lap service “a la Kelsey stylez” is a little stiff but plenty charming for certain, and we bet it’s not the only thing stiff out there, huh? Don’t worry Frankie dear, you’ll get the hang of it, you just gotta practice-practice-practice with every customer you can get!

Ah, delightment aside, let’s get into the happenings. Our aims were to be up and out by now, but time is an ever more cruel mistress of late and finding as much as we needed by yesterday was for naught. However we did accomplish a lot of what’s on our “got to do” list. A large chuck of the outstanding art is now complete, even if it took us an extra day rerendering our effects. We’ve got 1 scene fully built, tested and running, with the other 3 ready to get a move on when we’ve got the rest of the art finished to a workable state. We’ve got all the gameplays, including Frankie above, slotted, tested, working and completely covered.

So then, what’s left to do? What’s the hold up? There’s still about a dozen renders to get turned from set-up art scenes to actual CGs. As we said above, we had expected to be through even more by now, if not all, but we had to rerender a number to fix effects issues in Scene 1… You’ll see it was worth it soon. After that, we’ve got two last things to get done on the actual content, which luckily can be done simultaneously between the two of us. The rest of the scenes need to be mounted and tested, which is a job of about 6-8 hours, meanwhile we’ve still got a day’s worth of Post-Production photoshoping to fixing up the various artifacts and poke-throughs in the images (as was seen in our recent How it’s Made videos). Once that’s done, it’s build, test and upload time at last! That process can take an hour or so per platform per build (hence proper testing beforehand is crucial), and another hour upload, so that’s unfortunately one last wait that’s got to be pushed through.

Alright, so where does that leave us? Just tell us how long, right? The earliest we’ll see Noemi is quite late Tuesday, should we manage to get the last of the art completed tonight without interruption. The more likely scenario is that it’ll be Wednesday, likely in the late evening/night, even the early hours of the next morning. There is a chance it could even be Thursday but it’s our utmost want to not let that be the case.

We’ll get right back to it now and let y’all soak that up. Once again you’ve got our apologies for the delay, and once we’re done with September you can all be sure somebody’ll be getting a kicking just like we said last week… Even got the boots all picked out! For real though, we’re on it and we’re pushing it hard. Just a little bit longer now. Until we’re there…
