New Handel/patreon for male 18+ content disussion/feedback (Patreon)

Hey guys, how are you, hope you all are doing good. As I'm writing this I'm probably going to make many grammar mistakes trying to figure out words to convey what I want to tell you all. So here we go : )

I've done some changes to my patreon, one of the more noticeable one is the 1-2 terms per month and many of you were supportive of my decision to that I'm grateful!I always want to try to improve myself as well as my

patreon for you all to enjoy. For this upcoming year as all of you have noticed I've been creating more original content, not saying I'll be stopping with fanart as I will continue to enjoy drawing anime/movies/games that i have watched.

Currently, my next big goal Is to start my own short comics, some of which will contain mature content with lighthearted/darker story line one of my project will involve BL /yaoi

. Now I know a big majority of my patrons are here for my originals and/or my female 18+ content, so most of my patreon creations caters to that. It Does leave those of you who are supporting me for my male related creations short handed and

I want to change that.


I'm thinking of creating a new handle +patreon for 18+ male content. I want to share my love for that genre with  those of you who loves it just as much as I do !(Besides, I don't think I should be spamming all the future mature BL content here on this patreon because I know it's not for everyone). I need to consider that moving forward when creating my yaoi comic etc. Of course that new patreon will be different in terms of content release/pledge lvl, but it will be unrestricted and I can be as 'creative ' as i want in a way. This new Handel will be mainly for 18+ male content but I will still release normal male art on the sakimichn patreon account as well as the 18+ one.


Anyways that's the jest of it, as always feel free to leave feedback for me or suggestions on how I can make this a smooth transaction for those of you who love my male 18+ content. Give me suggestions on what you guys would like to see more from me on this other handle/patreon moving forward :)

Still a lot of stuff to think over/organize but I'm excited for this ! I really want to create BL content that you guys and I can enjoy without involving those of you who don't care for it.


Ps. If you guys have any ideas for handle name for this new patreon let me know !Still trying to think up of one :)

I have no plans to separate my female r-18+ content from this patreon account, but it might be up for discussion in the future if needed  , though I will always ask for feedback from you all  when I make changes to my patreon.

So would that mean no male or yaoi pictures here? Or just more/different ones on the other account? I don't mind either way; I am not generally into it so I just don't look at it. But I'm sure some other patreons would not be as happy. As for an alternate account name, you could go with "Sakimi-BL". Or if you are feeling tongue in cheek or self depreciating, "Sakimi-fujoshi".

Sounds good! I like seeing the female nudes, don't mind the male nudes, but not too fond of male-male, or female-female "goo" in scenes ;) But yeah, it sounds like a good idea- general art and nudes in this one, and more "hardcore"/ sex scenes in another. Speaking of which, I don't think you've ever done a hetero sex scene XD

Yay for more manservice <3 I know I definitely spoke to you about more manliness ever since I joined during Term 10. XDDD Anywho, I think this could be great for the super man-lovers like myself. :D Hmmm...personally, I think if you just expanded the current Yaoi tier and made it completely male sfw + nsfw, that would be the easiest transition. Can't you even filter out the Yaoi pieces to only the Yaoi tier as well? X3 Just to double-check, if you did end up making another Patreon, it would contain all the male stuff from this one plus more? :0

I support this separation. While I certainly don't have an issue with solo male/yaoi/BL, as a hetero male it (predictably) doesn't interest me and I'm here solely for the female/yuri/possible hetero content. This will hopefully cater to and make everyone happy.

I will support the shit out of that. I will probably still support you here, since I do like most of your female work (and husband loves it XD), plus if you have different tutorials on each. MUST HAVE ALL THE TUTORIALS! XD But I am one of the ones that is mostly here for the guys. Don't want you to get too burnt out trying to do content for 2 accounts, but I am all over more NSFW male works from you. And totally drooling over the thought of you doing a yaoi comic. @_@

I would patron the hell out of a Yaoi account. I would love to see your unfiltered passion! The dark and wonderful content you enjoy creating. I want your love and passion and you do what you need to do to make that happen! And i only wanna see more Yuri content if you are gonna like doing it as much as Yaoi. TL:DR you have my full support as long as you love doing it.

Hm... dang it. I actually like about this account that it gets me Yuri and Yaoi stuff so I don't have to "choose" for one or the other and don't have to "regret" a decision. (I'm on a pretty high tier anyways) So yeah... splitting it up.. having to choose when you like both... that's not an easy decision for me. XDD

yes thank you for all your comments, I always see your icon on most of my male piece ! I haven't worked out everything for the other patreon yet, but it will have more male content. I will still offer the same tutorial options as this patreon thou :D if and when I start the second male 18+ patreon, I will be sure to provide some of the older male art from past terms + any future pieces : )

Part of the appeal for me originally was the BL content - I remember you used to do more of it when you started out on Deviantart, So I love this idea and would be happy to support your new Patreon/handle too. I think you're correct in that you already cater for those interested in female +18 content and I personally don't see any harm in splitting it into a separate feature. It would allow people to choose more accurately what they'd prefer. The idea of a comic sounds lovely and you always do wonderful original BL content.

I am definitely happy to hear that we'll be getting more male nsfw/yaoi :D although it's kind of sad you have to create a new patreon/handle instead of just a new tier to make everyone happy. Guess I'll have to support both then since I love all your work (bl more though)!!!^^

Yeah, not gonna lie, no interest what so ever in the guy on guy, Not in the slightest, Hell I dun even really care much for the girl on girl, but it's what evs. if you wanna make that a separate patreon, then that's fine, go ahead. I still say you should do Het Pairings though.

I'm not really I have much to offer on this end except to say that if you think you can keep track of two accounts then by all means. It won't affect my patronage much since I only actually download the female NSFW and all the SFW work.

Honestly I always just get whatever you draw. No matter if it's SFW/NSFW, Yaoi/Yuri literally anything you draw is an inspiration for me. It's up to you if you do decide to make another Patreon because I will support whatever decision you make. But if you do make another one I might not be able to support you physically as I am still a student and it might be a little heavy on my finance.

I Say Go for it, I'm no fan of yaoi but seeing your work unfiltered and also in Comic form would be really interesting.(would die to see a yuri comic but thats probably pushing it, I love to see the female NSFW in a more Hardcore manner.) But enough of me, in the End Do what you love and when you do the people that support you, will follow you with your passion. P.s. I concur with Stephens statements here, Sakimichan. I rather like having all of your art in a single place as all of it regardless of category is an inspiration. Nevertheless, it seems that a lot of people aren't of the same opinion as Stephen and myself, so it's something to mull over in such a change in direction.

Hui, that was a long text and I will answer in a similar manner. But please excuse my mistakes I will 100% do, because the english language is not my native. So, I am originally here for your OCs and fanart, SFW and NSFW. I am hetero male so I have no really strong connection to naked man or dicks. BUT - and here is why I write it - I love your work. It doesn't matter if yuri or yaoi, male or female, you are an outstanding artist and I'm glad I can support you. My suggestion to the problem you are talking about is nearly non-existent. Let me explain. You have this original Patreon with your name and you post one or two Terms a month. Stay with that and draw on another Patreon your comics (I doesn't know what BL means, but hey... maybe I can find out) and I can guarantee it: 80% of your actual supporters are curious as me to see what you are creating. Now we need a name for it. :)

I'm of the opinion there is no reason to restrict yourself here - I want you to be as "creative" as you want - be it male and/or female subject art. You could possibly handle this with just two new tiers on this Patreon: A "Yaoi" tier and an "Everything" tier. However a comic is a pretty major undertaking, and if you plan on drawing a plethora of men, that could very well justify a new Patreon. How about "Sakimi's Men"?

I actually have a preference for 18+ content of male characters and 18+ malexmale content over 18+ female and female/female content. While I do enjor 18+ female and f/f content, there's just an overabundance of it compared to the male side, which is why I prefer to support the 18+ content that features male characters. If you decide to create a separate Patreon geared towards 18+ male and m/m content, I would definitely follow you there, and if my finances allowed, subscribe to it possibly with more money than I subscribe to on this page.

i like all your work, but guys appeal more to me than girl on girl or girl nsfw, and i'd hate to lose out on anything, and if separate, my worry is that i might not be able to support it financially, and will miss out ; v ; while i prefer guys, i also like girls, and non-nsfw too, so i don't want to give up this either, and i'd hate to miss out on any tutorials ; v ;

I enjoy seeing all of your art but I'm not going to deny that I would love to see more yaoi/BL content. [I am one of the ones after the m/m content]. The idea short comics really interest me, branching out seems like it'd be fun. I'm not sure how the easiest way would be for you to keep them separate. Having two different Patreon's seems simplest but dividing your attention between two might be hard too...

Personally I chose to follow you because I'm a visual learner and I really like that you have video processes of your art and voice over tutorials. Sadly I was late in the game but since the start of this year I've been doing the $20 pledge so I could get access to past tiers that had content I felt would be beneficial to my learning since I've admired your style for several years. I may be misunderstanding but how would splitting your content between two Patreons affect the current tier system and ability to get past archived tiers? Which Patreon would get the voice over and process tutorials or would it be split? I guess I'm struggling to understand how it would be beneficial to divide it between two Patreons by separating male and female content instead of having a Patreon dedicated to your comic and its growth and keeping this one as you have it? Thank you for your time and I apologize for the confusion on my part.

I'm all for it, I like both but I do agree that the ratio of males to females is definitely uneven and I like my men. Like others said, my main concern is pricing, however since you've gone down to 1 term a month on this account, then maybe it wouldn't be as much of a difference. Personally I'll follow no matter what account you're on as long as I can afford it :)

Personally I like having everything together since I enjoy both your male and female pieces, and though it would be nice to see more male art, I still enjoy your female art too. I also really enjoy your original pieces, and voice over tutorials, though of course I love the fanart as well. However, I think you should do whatever is going to work best for you, and if you decide to make another Patreon, I'll try to follow both cause I would hate to miss out on either. Please keep up the excellent work as I always love to see what you create!

Personally I'd like more BL and male pictures, but I can't really afford to pay more that what I am now even though I'm only paying enough to get the yaoi and yuri tier.... I'd like to be able to purchase a teir to allow be to go back and get the previous zodiac signs you did, but don't have the money.... so I guess my main point is how pricing is going to change or be affected by the new handle

All together seems the best way to reach everyone, and I think most or all enjoy your magnificent art regardless gender and flavour - a separate Patreon means more costs than are not so friendly for what I think is the majority of people here. Though ultimately, your creativity and masterful mind are surely admired, and many might make sacrifices to try and keep up with your production flow. Keeping it all together, I maintain, is the best way I think but regardless whatever you make is sure to be appreciated.

I do love your speed-paintings and mainly use the yaoi and yuri rewards for anatomy but mostly it's the tutorials and character speed paints you do that im the most interested in. I'm fine with anything sakimichan as long as it appeals to you :).

If that's what you like, go with everything. But for me, this is not the kind of art that desire. I only have the images because their design features are super cool, but are all there in the deepest and secret folder on my computer. HAHAH

It is entirely up to you, what you want to do, but personally I prefer to have everything on one account and I don't think it would bother people too much if images were posted that were not what they are after. Others have mentioned this, with wanting the content in one account but also because of the added cost that would be involved with funding not only this Patreon but also a secondary account. For myself, money is a concern, and I think other people would have the same concerns, that they would want to see all content you create but would be unable to support a second account because of financial restrictions. If you do end up going with a second account, would it have a similar +past reward tier, like you have here? I find that tier on this account has been incredibly helpful for catching up with the packs that were released before I began pledging, but also not having to pay a lot of money by getting them from your Gumroad. ($70USD wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't getting screwed over by the exchange rate as well, making the complete packs terribly expensive there.) At the end of the day, you are doing what you need to do that is best for your art.

It's up to you, what you plan to do, but I do think it's sort of a bogus thing, that your fans who maybe don't like yuri, or het, have to have an entirely separate patreon to support. Those fans who are there for your BL based content don't complain about having to view yuri or het material. I think maybe your yuri and het fans wouldn't mind the BL. I mean, I dunno' if this is a thing, but maybe you could specify what pledge package they do? Like, say you start it from tier 2, onwards, that you can do the 'standard package', or the 'exclusive package', And just have us list in a msg to you, which package we prefer. I know that if you make a second patreon account, I'd drop this pledge, to support that one, instead, because it would be focused on something I'm more inclined to support(Creation of original content focused on 'abnormal' pairings.). Either way, it's up to you. As for suggestions for a second account name? Well, it'll be male based, right? Sakimi Kun has a nice ring to it. ;D

I think it would be a great idea to create a separate patreon for your yaoi artwork. To be honest, I choose to be a patron just for your NSFW male and yaoi artwork. I believe creating an unrestricted BL patreon would please both you and your patrons. As an aspiring artist, I know how difficult it can be to restrict your artwork for the sake of others, but I guarantee many patrons would support your decision to create an 18+ BL handle. I'm very eager to see your true potential and I'm sure many of your fans feel the same way.

If it were up to me, I'd separate Yaoi and Yuri into a separate account and keep general NSFW/hetero, pin ups and tutorials on this account. The reason for this is so that all your hardcore works are in one place for those who want it while other people, like myself, can enjoy the softer themed things. With a Yaoi and Yuri account you can also post your comics there and know you are already delivering to an audience that likes it. It may suck for some people to support separate accounts, but when it really comes down to it those into hardcore often prefer it anyways. So it is better they have their own seperate rewards yeah know?

I think as a working artist you should do what makes sense to do. If you feel you have fans that are sensitive to the BL material being here and have chosen not to follow this idea makes sense. My only concern is that you just restructured recently to allow yourself to refocus yourself and your account. I suppose you have thought about the logistics, but if you make two accounts it might be harder to adjust your volume of work requirements like you just did. Again this is just my food for thought, and as a the artist, you really should do what feels true to your nature. If creating the second account enables you to create content you feel doesn't fit here any more, go for it. I just recently started following you, and I am excited to see what ever you create next. :-)

I'm all for anything you want to draw. :) But for patreons who like specific genres, would it be possible to have different pledge packages? Like, Tier 2 YAOI EDITION and only people who want to see yaoi art would pick that tier... I don't really know how this site works so I don't know if that would be more efficient than separate patreon pages so I bring it up in case it sparks an idea.

It's up to you, what you feel comfortable with, but in my opinion to have in all one account is better, all the previews you post are harmless and if those who do not want to download the BL stuff, they can just not download it at the beginning of the month. Maybe a new tier focused on the BL comic would be a simpler solution?

We definitely have to compare the pros and cons: Pros • More organized for patrons • More options for people to choose • People who love hetero, boy and boy, girl and girl art could specifically subscribe to that art • People who love all types of art can become patrons to all handlers (as long as they have money) • People who don’t necessarily like one type of art can just choose the account they like • You could make all works available on both patreons and they get the content they want (BL comics or fan art) Cons • Financially unstable people can only pick one patreon • There would be uneven ratios of patrons if we compare the handlers with each other • There are people who would prefer everything in one account Personally I’m the type of person who prefers everything in one account although I highly prefer your works of men and Yaoi/BL content. I would suggest you just increase the pledge and make a different tier for people who would want to see the BL comics/new content. I’m also the type of person who’s serious in pursuing in the art business so I wonder how all the change would affect you making tutorials. What matters is that we learn more about art and enjoying your content. Whatever your decision is, we would all gladly support it. Hwaiting!

It's up to you whether make a different account or not. personally, I would like it if you stayed here on this account with the BL. I love the BL you make ( because I am a yaoi fan ) however I originally came here for the tutorials. If you went to another account I wouldn't be able to pay for tutorials and the BL account because I am not rich. Sakimichan I love you and your artwork but don't think I can support you for both accounts. Again that's my opinion just do whatever you want to do :)

Not a bad idea.As you said a lot of us enjoy yuri and female nsfw art,So we will get specifically what we want and you get to keep enjoying drawing BL on separate acc. I support you on this one.(And of course any other one :D)
