State of Things (As of Mid April 2022) (Patreon)

I'm feeling quite good about things at the moment, so I figured i'd give a more in-depth status update for this TMI Tuesday.

To get the Important Stuff™ of this announcement out of the way since a good few people have been asking, commissions are still a ways off. And for those STILL waiting... i am deeply aware that we're past the 1 year wait time, and I'm still trudging along (I finished a couple last month that  haven't posted yet), so I am reminding you guys yet again that you are free to hit me up and ask for refunds if the wait is too much for you!

With that out of the way, I can go into the less important stuff (stuff considering what's going on with me specifically, which may be only relevant to some, lol) which is only tangentially related to the above. Just got my taxes paid, and i didnt have to pay much! thank god. I can exhale for the first time in 3 months. Financially, i should be good for a while unless something explodes.

Things are still tough for my aunt and me since my mom passed, but we're coping. I still feel like my maximum has been chopped off to where it's only 80% of what it was, but with the intent of returning to what i enjoy doing art-wise for work, I think I'm making progress in that regard and feel a lot of the pressure is off. My vacation to Montana for Christmas did loads for my healing, and despite Jury Duty in March legit retraumatizing me in regards to my mother's death (can you believe they wanted me to sit on a jury on a trial about cancer??? not even a year after my mother's ordeal!), I think I'm finally crawling out of that pit.

I can hopefully finish this month's patreon fills with time to spare so i can knock another commission or 2 out of the way before May starts.  Fingers crossed that things keep going my way~
