Man what can I say that I didn't say in the episode or in the previous bio of episode 7, this show is amazing and finding out what the Avatar started as and why there even was an Avatar in the beginning is EVERYTHING, this show and this episode really pulled me back into the world and has made me interested in seeing where the show continues to go from here!!

This show is hated on way too much. But people have issues with season 2, and because of all the interference from Nickelodeon, in both books 1 and 2, they thought these seasons were their last. So the story doesn't feel always connected. Its definitely a bandwagon to hate on this show. It's really good, and not just because of backstory episodes like this. Korras journey itself is super interesting.

Now u know, that every nations got its bending powers from the lionturtles. Wan got all 4 elements in this backstory. But in ATLA, Aang got another power from another lionturtle. So since Aang, the avatar possesses all 4 elements AND energybending, thats how he/she can take away (and restore) bending ;) It is kind of a fifth element no one else has.
